The place itself is unlike any Airbnb I’ve experienced. The movie theater is huge and it’s easy to hook up your computer and sit back on one of the many couches to a movie or sports event on a massive screen with an theater grade sound system. The non bunk bed room is very nice, as well as the bunk beds and each door has its own lock. Kotsuke lives upstairs so he is available, but he gave us our privacy the whole time.
Could fit 10 comfortably, has two showers two bathrooms. Has a washer.

There are all these little touches around the place that make it such an experience. So many surprises and little touches to the place. So much more to say, but I’ve hit the character limit. Do not miss out!

Large living room, kitchen, and an even larger theater, of course. Everything you could need and more. I stayed in January so my only note is of course it was a bit cold You should definitely use the heaters and blankets the host provides. The cold was no problem tho because the host offered many times information on heating and extra blankets. The host was very responsive and helpful on every request and question. He even waited for us to arrive at maybe 9pm so he could show us around and how to use the facilities.It is directly across from the station. Just a few minutes walk.Walk down the street one minute and you see Mt. Fuji! I would write more but out of space. Thanks!

If you can appreciate the finer details, you will love its uniqueness and ambiance. It was in the middle of everything and only a short walk from the station. His friend also hosts a small cafe on the first floor which adds to its charm - nice for a quick coffee break. Would love to come back.

It made getting to Fuji-Q Highland, Gotemba Outlet, and other attractions so easy. Great for a couples getaway or even with a group of friends to hang out. The theater room is really the highlight, with a cozy setup and amazingly big screen and sound system. You really get a private movie theater all to yourself! The location is also amazing. Literally a couple minutes from Gotemba station and located right next to some amazing restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised by the great food served at the nearby izakayas.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to travel to Gotemba.

We made popcorn, watch movies and had the absolute best time. We didn’t even want to leave the apartment. Kosuke is a great host. The space itself is a converted retro movie theater with tons of cool related cinema memorabilia. The host has added a great projection/audio setup to the theater itself with lots of streaming options available. The rest of the place has plenty of space and beds, with all the amenities you’d need. It’s located in a lively part of town very close to the train station. The host is also very friendly, helpful, and communicative. If we ever find ourselves in the Hakone region again, we definitely would like to stay here again.
