  Super unique stay, definitely try this if you are headed to Gotemba!

  What a wonderful experience. I sat in the theater with my two daughters watching movies as if I was a king.

You really get a private movie theater all to yourself! The location is also amazing. Literally a couple minutes from Gotemba station and located right next to some amazing restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised by the great food served at the nearby izakayas.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to travel to Gotemba.

Next time I’m visiting Japan, I will make a point to stay at this unique airbnb for a week instead of a few days. There are so many tasty restaurants near by!

This man has done a wonderful job reconstructing this beautiful theater into an incredible inn. The place is spotless, and he has all the amenities you will need for your time there. He is so kind and helpful, coming to help us when we were lost getting to his stay, and even sharing great places to eat and see while in Gotemba. The stay is 3 minutes from the train station which is super convenient for traveling from Gotemba, or even taking the bus up to Mt Fuji for a hike. There are plenty of onsen(thermal baths) near this stay, so you can really do it all from this area. He even offered us bikes that we used to coast around the area. Besides the stay, Kosuke is a very kind person, and I plan to return here in the near future to see how his work on this theater has progressed.

Kitchen had everything we needed for making food as well as fresh beans for coffee and good waffle breakfast.
Music plays in every room as you wish with a tablet so you can choose the vibe.
The local recommendations for food and coffee are fantastic.
Streaming device has options and host makes it easy to connect to hdmi but if you are coming from outside Japan make sure your devices work well ahead of time. I was able to get some classic films working on YouTube after criterion and hbo max failed completely for certain movies (mirroring did not work even if downloaded). Netflix on the host device had a few English subtitle films but most I searched for were not. Hope to visit again in warm weather.

Ev sahibimiz ise inanılmaz derecede misafirperver ve samimiydi. Girişten çıkışa kadar her konuda çok yardımcı oldu, iletişimi oldukça hızlıydı ve kendimizi özel hissettirmek için ekstra çaba gösterdi.

  This is a great place. The Theatre Room is spectacular and perfect when you need to chill out during your trip in Japan. The host - that you actually meet... read more in person - is very welcoming, helpful and eager to make your staying as nice as possible, while never being intrusive. The place is also greatly decorated with lots of charm - not like many other Airbnb places that are impersonal and look like an Ikea store - and has a great book library. Highly recommended.
